Kaysville Fire Department

The Kaysville Fire Department is located at 175 South Main Street in Kaysville, Utah. The Kaysville Fire Department is responsible for responding and handling all Medical, Fire, Rescue, and Hazardous Material situations in the cities of Kaysville and Fruit Heights.

The Kaysville Fire Department covers a population of nearly 30,000 people and responds to around 1,200 calls a year on average.

The Kaysville Fire Department currently employs thirty-one part-time firefighters that all have EMT or Paramedic certifications. Also on the staff is a full-time chief, a part-time deputy chief/fire marshal, and two part-time assistant chiefs

Mutual-Aid to Layton Structure Fire

Tuesday, October 20, 2009:

This afternoon Kaysville Fire crews were requested to respond with an engine as mutual-aid to a Layton Structure Fire.  The fire was on Gentile Street in an abandoned home.  Crews were able to get a quick knock down on the fire.

Layton responded to the call with Ambulance 51, Ambulance 52, Ambulance 53, Medic Engine 51, Medic Engine 52, Truck 53, Battalion Chief 51 and other various command units.  Great job to everyone who responded to the fire!

Brush Fire

Saturday, October 17, 2009:

Tonight smoke and flames were reported in a gulley at 731 South Main Street.  Brush 61 and Brush 63 responded to find the flames just North of Nicholls Road in the gulley there.  Crews were able to get a quick knock down on the fire.

Assist on Extrication

Saturday, October 17, 2009:

Today around 11:30 hours, Kaysville Fire crews were requested to assist the Farmington Fire Department with an extrication up Farmington Canyon.  A vehicle rolled over at the top of the canyon on the south side of the towers.

Success at Fire Prevention Open House

Thursday, October 8, 2009:

Last night the Kaysville Fire Department had a successful night at the annual Fire Prevention Open House. 

Residents of Kaysville and the surrounding area turned out at the fire station to participate in many activities including tours of Life Flight, tours of the fire station and the Department's apparatus, riding in the Utah Highway Patrol crash cars, experiencing the chance to spray a fire hose, receiving education in fire safety and fire prevention and a lot of other activities.

Fire Prevention Week Open House

Friday, October 2, 2009:

The Kaysville Fire Department will be holding its annual Fire Prevention Week Open House on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Kaysville Fire Station located at 175 South Main Street in Kaysville.

The fire station and all of the trucks will be available for the public to view.  Life Flight will be landing at the fire station for tours of their helicopter.  The Utah Highway Patrol will have crash cars demonstrating the impact of even a small motor vehicle accident.
