Kaysville Fire Department

The Kaysville Fire Department is located at 175 South Main Street in Kaysville, Utah. The Kaysville Fire Department is responsible for responding and handling all Medical, Fire, Rescue, and Hazardous Material situations in the cities of Kaysville and Fruit Heights.

The Kaysville Fire Department covers a population of nearly 30,000 people and responds to around 1,200 calls a year on average.

The Kaysville Fire Department currently employs thirty-one part-time firefighters that all have EMT or Paramedic certifications. Also on the staff is a full-time chief, a part-time deputy chief/fire marshal, and two part-time assistant chiefs

Structure Fire

Tuesday, June 15, 2010:

Yesterday afternoon Kaysville Fire crews were alerted to a structure fire with flames showing in Fruit Heights.  Engine 61, Engine 62, 601, and 602 responded from Kaysville.  Layton responded as automatic-aid with Truck 53 and Battalion Chief 51.

Structure Fire 6/14/2010

The fire started outside the home during a home renovation project.  The homeowner was able to put most of the fire out by the time crews arrived on scene.  Crews did find small amounts of fire within the walls of the home but they were able to extinguish that quickly.

Structure Fire

Monday, May 24, 2010:

This afternoon around 17:00 hours Kaysville Fire crews were dispatched to a confirmed house fire with flames showing in the area of 700 East 300 North.  Ambulance 61, Ambulance 63, Engine 61, Truck 61, Heavy Rescue 61 and 601 responded.  Layton Fire crews responded as automatic-aid with Ambulance 52, Medic Engine 52, Engine 53 and Battalion Chief 51.

Structure Fire 5/24/2010

Upon arrival heavy smoke was showing in the attic.  Truck 61 performed a fast attack and was assisted by Engine 61.  Crews were able to get a quick knock down on the home.  The origin of the fire was in the attic and was caused by a welder's torch during home renovation.

Auto Pedestrian Accident

Monday, May 24, 2010:

This afternoon around 16:00 hours Kaysville Fire crews were dispatched to an Echo response medical in Fruit Heights for a female that was run over by her own vehicle.  After successful CPR the patient was revived and AirMed was called to the scene.

Medical - AirMed Transport 5/24/2010

Ambulance 61, Ambulance 62 and Heavy Rescue 61 performed patient care and removal while Engine 61 and 601 set up a landing zone at a nearby church parking lot.  After several minutes AirMed transported the patient to the University of Utah Hospital for traumatic injuries.
