Gas Leak on Green Rd PDF Print E-mail

Wednesday, May 20, 2009:

Yesterday afternoon Kaysville Fire crews were alerted to a gas leak on Green Road in Fruit Heights after crews digging in a phone line hit a underground natural gas line.

The Kaysville Fire Department responded with Engine 61 and Fire 601.  Questar Gas officials also responded to the scene.

Tuesday, May 12, 2009:

(Since our website was down for a few weeks we're posting this a little a late).  On April 29, Kaysville Fire crews were alerted to a structure fire at 1049 East Manchester.  The fire started out as a dryer fire, causing $35,000 in damage.

Kaysville responded to the call with Ambulance 61, Engine 61, Engine 62 and Fire 601.  The Layton Fire Department responded as mutual-aid with Medic Engine 51.  Kaysville Truck 61 went enroute but was cancelled as it was not needed.

One of the residents was treated on-scene for minor smoke inhalation.

Sunday, May 10, 2009:

On Sunday, April 26 Kaysville Fire crews responded with Ambulance 61, Engine 61, and Heavy Rescue 61 to a motor vehicle accident after midnight.  A woman fell asleep at the wheel of her car and slammed into a power pole, bringing down live power lines on her car.  She self-extricated herself from the vehicle and was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

On Tuesday, April 28 Kaysville Fire crews were alerted to smoke showing on southbound I-15 between Burton Ln. and Shepard Ln. around 15:30 hours.  Engine 61 was the first arriving crew on scene.  Upon arrival crews found a car off the freeway in an embankment on fire.  Ambulance 61 was alerted to transport a patient from the vehicle.  Utah Highway Patrol units stayed on scene till a towing company arrived.

On Sunday, May 3 Kaysville Fire crews responded to a small gas leak in west Kaysville just off of Angel Street.  Engine 61 and Fire 601 responded to the scene and cleared the scene within an hour of arrival.  For pictures, click here.

On Friday, May 8 Kaysville Fire crews responded to heavy billows of smoke in the area of 200 North and Main Street.  Engine 61 proceeded to do a smoke investigation, finding flames in a wooded area of a residence.  Upon arrival crews found out it was just an agricultural burn.

Thursday, April 16, 2009:

This morning around 07:00 hours Kaysville Fire crews were alerted to a Delta response single-vehicle rollover accident on Highway 89 near Cherry Hill in Fruit Heights.  Farmington Fire crews were also on scene as mutual-aid.

The accident caused traffic delays as southbound traffic was reduced to one lane.  Crews cleared the scene around 08:30.
